Plácido Domingo Gala
The audiovisual production of the Plácido Domingo gala for Un'Estate da Re: the concert, the protagonists' voices and the Royal Palace of Caserta, in a story built to last.

The project
An opera gala with one of the world's most recognisable artists, live, in one of Italy's most demanding monumental settings.
Artide handled the full audiovisual production of the evening: concert coverage with a language paced on the music, interviews with the protagonists and the story of the context — the audience, the anticipation, the Palace.
No live broadcast: the goal was a story built to last. An aftermovie of the evening and formats designed for the festival's social channels and communication.
All of it with a three-person crew and Sony FX6 cinema cameras, plus drone footage to convey the monumental scale of the place.
An opera gala allows no retakes and no intrusion: silences to respect, stage lighting to work with, an artist you don't direct — you follow. Three people had to cover concert, interviews and behind the scenes without ever weighing on the evening.
And the setting raises the bar: the Royal Palace of Caserta imposes constraints on spaces and movement, while the result had to live up to the stage and its protagonist.
What we did
Concert coverage
Three Sony FX6 cameras on the gala: wide shots of the orchestra, the detail of the voice, the audience's reactions. A visual language built on the pace of the music, with the Palace always present in the frame.
Interviews & behind the scenes
The voices of the protagonists and of the festival, gathered around the evening, and the story the audience doesn't see: the preparation, the anticipation, the place turning into a theatre.
Aftermovie & social formats
Editing of the evening's aftermovie and versions for Un'Estate da Re's social channels and communication — assets designed to promote the festival well beyond the concert date.
